Reyes Ks - now 0 for his last 14

He and Beltran carried us early, now both are ice cold.

Now it's Wright and Chavez's turn. That's what I love about this team is that they balance out their slumps and win, win, win.

The Mets are 6-37 in games at Turner Field when the Braves score first
according to Gary. And then he said something like they won the first three
or some early three (I didn't quite catch it) which makes the run even more
bizarre.

**This IGT tidbit brought to by AFLAC**

Looks like another short night for 5-inning Tommy.

Maybe he'll settle down.
Cuz even when he's havin a bad night he usually doesnt throw that many balls in one inning. That was awful.

Even when Keith says stupid shit like he just did about Oliver Perez changing speeds ("Everything's so complicated today, it's a game, he threw hard, he threw soft") and last night when he said Oliver has had only one good season and used his yearly W-L records as evidence, I still think he provides pretty good insight most nights on hitting and D, and is scores better than cliche-machine Darling. Ronnie's not bad, but how the hell did he win an Emmy?

2 on, 1 out in the 3rd.
Down by 2...
We really have to plate a run here.
Endy up.

Same way Joe Morgan keeps winning 'em?

Wow, new Mets strategy. Tomahawk-chop it. How apropos.

Gah--we get the ducks on the pond for Wright, just what we want, and come up empty.

Tho I dont think he swung there.
Nope

="Frayed Knot"]We're getting some breaks here ... need to take advantage.

Oops.

Not much of a lip reader, but I'm confused as to why David was yelling "Duck" as he spiked his helmet...

Willie is a pussy. Way to stand up for your players, asshole.

It's not like he's going to get the call reversed. He'd just get thrown out, and getting run in the 3rd doesn't leave the team in better shape and won't help Wright his next AB.

I agree that Willie isn't one of the great arguers of all time, but arguing a ball/strike call is an automatic ejection and a big waste of time to boot.
The only reason Willie was even heading out there was to lasso Wright before he got his ass run.

Cox, on the other hand, is only a handful of ejections away from the all-time record.

How does Renteria throw Beltran out there?
WTH is goin on.
This is just not going our way so far.

And Wright gets fooled bad and Renteria does it again to LoDuke.
Gah.

Gah, indeed.

But Glavine looks good again. Too bad we can't erase the early innings and have him keep going this way.

this is true.

It just FEELS worse than 2-0.

I thought last week Shmolzie broke a pinky.
Thats the last thing i heard about that.
