Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 I think that the irony of journalists calling for the deportation of a young guy guilty only of financing offensive expression would be funny if it weren't so disturbing. Especially when these journalists work for media conglomerates that own record labels and catalogues filled with similar material.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Does the Tribune Company own any record labels? The most offensive thing I can think of that they own is South Park.Strike that. Lou Pinella.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Let me get ths straight.Yankees ball player talks about cheating with 'roids, blames MLB and says the drugs didn't help him pile up numbers that he hasn't piled up since.Mets ball player sings a silly song.Guess which one people are saying should be driven out of town.Where are the columns saying Giambi is a lying bum and should be traded?Nice double standard.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Giambi seems to be getting off rather lightly for his thinly veiled admission. At least McCarver called him out during the Fox telecast of the game for trying to pass the blame onto the rest of baseball collectively in oder to deflect blame from the individuals, including himself, that used performance enhancing drugs. I think the concern that many, including myself, have regarding Milledge is that the song is simply another episode in a series of dubious and immature events in his young career. Hopefully, he'll grow up and get his head on straight, but I definitely am starting to have my doubts that he will.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Giambi got all pathetic and sick, so I think people feel started to feel bad for him. I think he's just a loser.I LOVE that Dugout. Very funny.]DudleyDoWright: /stares blankly
