Soriano, Jones, Floyd.

Go for the gaps, boys.

Cubs 3-0.

Maine seems to have let a crucial pitch over the plate that none of the radio guys can ID: too slow for a fastball, too fast for a change, just right to get whacked for a Ground Rule double.

Maine looks kinda weak tonite, no control. He IBBs Is-Tsuris to get at Carlos Z. and goes a very unintentional 3-and-0 on him.

Wow, Cotter v 2.0 interviewing Metsblog's Matt Cerrone.

Interesting that SNY (a station owned by an MLB team) has a guy in the
stands giving a plug to a baseball internet site about that team that isn't
powered by Sun Microsystems.

Lorne Green jacks one out. 3-1.

Can Maine eke out a win, ya think?

Newhan may not be much of a pinch hitter, but the guy draws a lot of walks.

i'll say this, I don't think Schoeneweis was one of Omar's best moves.

Not a lot of moves working out today.

Plenty of time left for the Schoeneweis signing to, um, fully reveal itself.

Oh wow...those are great seats. How did you manage to get those? I was only able to get field seats once, and that was the game that was snowed out in April 2000. Figures... But on the positive side, I got two replacement games in subpar seats.

in my opinion, field level sucks. the front rows of loge and mezzanine are far better.....and if you're not between the bases on field i'd even rather be in the upper deck

yeah, I know, and the market for 'established' left handed relief pitching was so insane this winter that the rotting carcass of Mike Stanton got a 2 year deal plus option at worth 5.5 - 8 million.
I just wish they'd gone the Oliver route:
ie: sift through the retreads in spring training/start of the season rather then commit to 3 years.

My wife got them through work, four tickets, best seats I ever had at a game, wife is not a baseball fan but she thoroughly enjoyed it,apart from the score of course, wants to go again, seats didn't suck.
