willpie Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 or am I nuts for not just dropping him? Obviously, I missed the draft and ended up with an auto-draft team. Not a terrible team, all things considered, but I can't seem to make a decision about Clemens.Anyone?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 On the basis of me thinking of him as a total bollox I wouldn't have him on my team, but that's just me....probably he won't pitch until the second week of June...if you are that way inclined then I suppose hold on to him.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 he wouldn't necessarily hurt you if he were whiled away in a DL slot, so long as he showed some promise of playing (well) this year.if you have enough injuries where his taking up a DL slot is hurting you, then you'd have to make the decision, but by then, you'd likely have a better idea of when and if he'd actually be playing this year. also, if he does come back, you'd likely be able to keep him in that DL slot for a while, depending on any other roster moves you might be making, until you were comfortable that adding him to your active roster would actually help you out.

IF he comes back he has the potential to be one of the top 10 pitchers in the game, you've gotta hold onto that until you're sure he won't be back.
