metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 if eddie guardado and/or roger clemens are the last two free agents left on the board, i'll give credit to those who said "unsigned" or "retired"when spring training starts, i think i'd have to just give up and declare any player who is unsigned at that point to be unsigned as pertains to the contest.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 No one picked Craig Wilson to the Braves.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 He signed within my deadline, it just hasn't been announced. I'm sticking to that.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 C'mon, Pittsburgh, sign Trachsel.C'mon, Chisox, Guardado is your man in the 'pen.C'mon, Astros, re-up Clemens NOW.C'mon, Nationals, Shannon Stewart would look awfully good in your outfield.C'mon, guys.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Eddie Guardado re-ups with the Reds in a minor league deal. (Readying my concession speech).
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 There's buzz on Trachsel going with St. Louis and some other buzz on him going with Houston, both of whom still have holes in their rotation.Signing Trachsel is seen in some way as bolstering the Astros prospects for a return by Roger Clmeens, who recently told New York reporters, "When you don't have the opportunity to go to the playoffs and have a chance to win, it's a waste of time for me. At this stage and point in my life and career, that's all you're looking for."So maybe whoever gets him will get a full season out of him.

He's hard to take seriously. The Nats were also interested in Trachsel. He'd be their #2, which tells you everything about Washington you really need to know.So does the Losers Lounge have a plush couch, big screen hi-def, and a pool table?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Local reports pull the Nats out of the Trachsel bidding. Actually, the reports show a mutual disinclination.Good luck to Manny Acta., but nobody knows who the Nats starting rotation is to be for last year.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 its not official yet, but... this looks rather good for me, and could prevent us from having to wait for that darned roger clemens! "Source: A's agree to 1-year deal with Stewart"http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2758035
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 That could also be a sign that the Milledge to the As rumors have been put on hold for this year.Later
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 i think edgy meant twenty-five days, the closest anyone came to predicting trachsel's landing pad.
