Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 They might as well just say "He's a white infielder."
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 McCarver, by the way, is right that batting Oliver was a dubious move by Willie. But he takes it too far (he's wrong) when he suggests that Willie is afraid of injuring his relievers by over-using them. He's afraid of making them less effective by over-using them, Tim. Come on.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Darren Oliver deserves a start now.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 You think Darren Oliver worked is way back into someone's rotation for next season? He's been awesome this year after looking like toast before Spring Training.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I hear what your saying, and Oliver has done his job here,but.....How about Heilman? Is there no chance that Willie will change his role?At times like these, you have to be flexible and crafty with your decisions.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 See, this is why I didn't want Trachsel on the postseason roster.

We know what we get with Trax-unfortunately we got the shitty end of the stick tonight. But you know Trax---he could-if given the opportunity-come out next start and give u 7 solid.Sucks trax failed.Sucks wagner failed last night. But thems what we got.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 ]McCarver, by the way, is right that batting Oliver was a dubious move by Willie. But he takes it too far (he's wrong) when he suggests that Willie is afraid of injuring his relievers by over-using them. He's afraid of making them less effective by over-using them, Tim. Come on.Seriously. That was the most moronic comment of the evening. I thought batting Oliver was actually the right move, although I can see questioning it. Willie knows that we might need the rest of our pen tomorrow and Oliver has looked good. If we lose, he's made tonight's loss nigh respectable. If we win, he's the player of the game.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Oliver batting was a good move, for sure.
