I hate 4PM starts..and I hate how every sports TV guy or girl asks every Met player how much did it mean to win that first game, or was it what you expected,or were you nervous...come on.

Winning, and feeling so good that you don't want to go to bed, for tomorrow may not be as good.

Gracious, you are? I shocked.

Sitting in the bar watching the last few innings of the game tonight, I became reaquainted with my inability to breathe while the opposing team is batting.

Lol--I did forget how nerve wracking Met post season games can be.
I was kinda surprised that at times I was sooo nervous.
This is the kinda nervousness I dont mind tho--its an exciting type of nervousness.

My Mets are giving me some extra games to enjoy this season.
As long as they can stay alive im gonna enjoy every second and not even complain if things should fall short of my hopes and dreams.

Cuz we all know we still have an uphill climb with a depleted pitching staff.
But I believe--I still believe.

The last time I was this nervous about a baseball game was the Red Sox in 04 ,so I will take this every time.

That's exactly why I love/hate it. It's a lot of fun, but on the other hand I need the oxygen.

I'm sometimes just a little bit sad that because of my focus on the Mets games, I feel as if I have an inadequate idea of what's happening in the other 3 series.

But then I remind myself that I waited 6 years for this, and many more prior to 1999.

Every year I watch as much post season baseball as I can catch , Mets or no (never miss a World Series game no matter what)-----but I was so focused on this afternoons game I forgot the Twins/A's were even playing earlier, and missed that game...
so I hear what your sayin.

Cripes, its almost 1 am.
(im just starting to be able to relax, lol)

I loved the 4 p.m. start. If I had to be at work, I would have been very antsy sitting in the office. But Mets playoff appearances are rare, and I don't mind using my time off to watch them.

I loved my first taste of post-season ball. I want more.

It was amazing to suddenly care so much about the outcome of the game. It was also exhilarating.

Like the 1986 Mets, this team waited until October before playing an important game.

The 1986 team started out flat, although it may very well have been Mike Scott that flattened them. But Derek Lowe couldn't flatten the 06ers.

The last time I watched a Mets playoff game in a bar, Zeile's warning track power killed me as Timo tiptoed around the bases.
