St. Louis takes a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 6th.

Yadier Molina has a freaking cannon and showed it off throwing out quick, little Dave Roberts on a big, slow curveball.

Of the 4 potential opponents still alive, only the Padres have catchers who suck at throwing out runners. We didn't run much against the Dodgers and Martin who's no slack himself, but Molina and Pudge could seriously slow us down.

Now it's 6-2 on Eckstein's suicide squeeze.

Which is why I was surprised to see that Josh was born in Venezuela (papa Jesse in Illinois)
That Josh was born in the 2nd year of his dad's MLB career leads me to believe that he was a Winter Ball baby.

Meanwhile, after looking like shite in the first inning, it's now the 7th and Carpenter is still in there dealing.

LaRussa squeezes A LOT with Eckstein and that situation - where there was 1 out and the Cards had taken the lead and were piling on - just reeked of TLR prime squeezin' time.

Speaking of which, anyone hear more about the story of Jesse and one of his other sons? The Met draft pick who pushed Jesse down the stairs because he (the kid) was told it was time to go to church or something
