Guest cooby Guests Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I have heard it said that it is Suzyn Waldman singing "Lets Go Mets" on the radio broadcasts...is that what the song is on the Seaver tribute? (I haven't watched it yet)
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Is this Keith Hernandez in this promo for ABC News?,it's around the 30 second mark.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Looks like him.Can I assume this was pre-9/11? If not, the video of the aircraft flying near the World Trade Center is in incredibly poor taste.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Joan Hodges, Joe Pignatano, and... some guy, discussing Gil Hodges yanking Cleon Jones.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Any footage of the kitten from Sunday's game.I found one clip on youtube, but MLB/ESPN brought the hammer down.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 They showed it on the local news last night.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Lenny meets the Matts. He looks pretty good. Better than a lot of the '86ers.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 I kind of felt bad for him. No one should injure himself in an Old Timers game. I miss the team pennants on the wall.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 It was awesome. Also cool, but going on too long: "Put Down the Duckie":
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 I sure don't miss Warner Wolf.
Guest Iubitul Guests Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I do. I remember the night when he announced the Hernandez trade....

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 He gave a surprisingly good talk at the SABR meeting a few years ago. Knows his old-timey Washington Senators baseball. Great footage... 79?
Guest iramets Guests Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Yes. KC and Johnny and I enjoyed his talk, which began (as is his custom) with "I AM standing up." (He's tiny.) Oddly, his name came up at dinner following the play I saw last night--he was offered the chance to audition as the "Bob Murphy" character, but turned the part down (according to the director) and offered some rewrite suggestions which were all incorporated into the script.
