Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 So, OK. Let';s say we take the lead here and hold on to win. Would this be one of those instances where they'd award to W to Williams and not Hernandez? They'd have to think about it.

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Well, the situation has come to pass.RHernandez faced 3 batter, gave up a HR, single and an out. Williams went 5.2, gave up only 1 run (+the 2 batters who scored on Robo's meatball).Robo is PH for in the following half inning during which the Mets improbably score 5.He can't deserve this win. He just can't.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 That's why I try to ignore the personal Win stat.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Good lookin' by Reyes, draws a bases loaded walk after going 0-2.6-4 Mets
duan Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Fair play; who'd have imagined Reyes walking in a run 12 months ago
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Inning finally ends on a LoDuca flyout, but damn was it fun.Lets hold it now, Heilman.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Delgado picking it like the Keithmaster. Doubleplay! He was the first punk ever to set foot on this earth. He was a genius from the day of his birth. He could play the piano like a ring and a bellAnd ev'rybody screamed: Come on, rock me Amadeus! He was a superstar, he was dynamiteAnd whatever he did, it seemed to be alright. And he drank and he cursed and he fooled aroundBut when the women would shout: Rock me Amadeus!Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus,Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus,Oh oh oh Amadeus. With a bottle of wine in one hand And a woman in the other, 'cause he was a ladies manHe never stopped to worry what the next day would bringBecause the girls would sing: Rock me Amadeus!Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus,Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus,Oh oh oh Amadeus. His mind was on rock and roll and having funBecause he lived so fast he had to die so young. But he made his mark in history.Still ev'rybody says: Rock me Amadeus!Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus,Amadeus, Amadeus, Amadeus,Oh oh oh Amadeus.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Great scoop by Delgado on the DP.He's playing great defense and had a big hit off the lefty. Sounds familiar.EDIT: Stop taking credit for my posts, Gary!

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Damn, Delgado looks like he's deliberately trying to go to left.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Matt Holliday looks lost out there.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Holliday is making it a holliday for the Mets.Pretty cool that Keef gets to help rate the fielders for Strat-O-Matic.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Big rip by Wright, but it makes a beeline for the Meat Bearer. Line drive, double play. To the 8th we go.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Holliday plays OF at Coors? Yeow.Bad routes, late jumps, poor catches.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Speaking of the official scorer, I'm having trouble convincing myself that Delgado deserves a double on that hit.
