I think it's more than most teams have.

With Mr. Mer in the house, Steve Trachsel has three swinging strikeouts already, and he's not even out of the second.

Steve Trachsel.

I guess.

I don't want more than most teams have. I want more than most good teams have.

I'm thinking World Series. It's not more than the best American League teams have.

Yes, I know I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm allowed. I'm having Nady and Floyd withdrawal.

....now that Floyd guy knew how to fling a bat.

Well, let's not jump off the bridge just yet. Ramon Castro will come back, DiFelice will be gone, and besides, LoDuca will start every game in the playoffs anyway. That's the weakest spot in the lineup today.

After three complete pitchers are mirroring each other.

3 IP
0 runs
Trax has 4 Ks / Armas 3

Looks like a dual in the sun.

Well, there goes one perfecto as Chavez gets a hit.

Endy with the Mets first hit of the game, a nice single thru the hole into right.

Beltraan works an at bat and draws a walk.
Nice at bat there Carlos.

1st and 2nd for Delgado.

Is it to early to whip this out? (ahhhhh!*everyone averts their eyes)
Nooooo--this>

I won't jump off any bridges. And it's not catcher I'm particularly worried about. I don't like the corner outfielders. And when I'm worried about them I remember my doubts about Valentin....

Ok maybe I am on the ledge of that bridge.

Washingtons first hit of the game too.
Trax follows up by distributing a base on balls to Zimmerman.

Two groundball outs get him out of it.

Sure, but the plan is pretty clear (don't know how it'll work out) that Floyd and Lo Duca will be in the lineup in October.

6th inning already--wow.

Dont swing the bat again Trax--just take all the way.

Trax deserves some runs
Trax deserves support
Homers, doubles, walks
I'll take any sort.

David, hit it where Zimmerman hit it.

Nope, almost grounded into a DeeP.

Fuddles.

Way to go from first to third, David.

Un-fuddles.

Armas has been the victim of some very poor defense this inning. The Mets are the beneficiaries.

The game is tied 1-1 in the 7th inning.

Thank you Marlon.
Anderson error (following an error by Nat catcher Schnieder) allows the Mets to tie it.
