Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 CarlosD walks.Ugh---Wrights swingin thru stuff like hes not seeing the pitch. Then he gets a curve ball up and watches it for a strike. He shoulda spanked that curve for bein bad.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 And David does spank one!Down the third baseline for a double and LoDuke comes in to score.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 There 'tis.We have a lead.Three Met hits... all doubles.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Nice, second and third with Delgado scoring after the pitcher's throwing error.Just get the run home Endy.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 WOW!Mathieson gets Valentin to hit it back to him, and he throws high to 1st and Howard cant bring it down--it hits off his glove.I think Ryan screwed up there, tho Mathieson will get the error.Mets plate another as Delgado comes in--Wright and Val move up to 2nd and 3rd.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Walks. Bases loaded.Show me the love, Lastings.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Does it with a run-scoring single.'Stings makes it 3-0. Cue the People.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Mets get a gift. Valentin grounds to the mound, Mathieson throws high and everyone is safe.Announcers goig on and on about Mathieson thrwoing it away, it was a little high and wide, but it should have been caught by Howard in my opinion. He was standing with his foot on the bag and the ball went off his glove. I think Howard "heard footsteps" with Valentin closing in and didn't concentrate on the catch. Not a good throw, but if I'm scoring, I would give the error to Howard. Let's get some more runs while we have them on the ropes.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Chavez is walked.Lastings lines a wicked line drive single up the middle, so hard only Wright can score....consider me a Milledge person. Maine strikes out and Reyes ----

Howard didnt exactly scramble after that ball.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 The Mets didn't invent the grand slam, but since the All Star break they seem to have perfected it.

Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Porn Stash goes -8-0 Mets in the 5th!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 A smash to deep right, gone off the bat.Now Im not sure if I want to be a Milledge Person or one of Valentin-o's Lovers.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Maine thru 6.He looked like two different pitchers that inning-Utley hit him hard and he walked Howard. But then he settled down and struck out Burrell and Rowand.Bradford was up in the bullpen.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Marrero will bat for Maine.So,...I can say it now- Maine has a really nice lil scoreless inning streak going.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Royce Ring comes into the game, and on the first pitch coughs up a home run ball to Lieberthal.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 OUCH--Lieberthal rings Royce's bell.8-1
