Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Fine catch by Berkman off Beltraan. If ElDuke can hold em--I think we can reach Backe.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 The only way I'd want to be between McCarver and Buck is if I was on fire and they were covered in gasoline.

BIGIll take those all day too, if I have to.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 This isn't really happening is it?
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Meatloaf is in the booth, and he's singing.I hate these Fox games. This is a sport, people - additional entertainment is NOT necessary!

Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 And now this half inning is interrupted by a BS interview.People - there's a GAME on. May we please watch it?The Mets have runners on the corners, nobody out. What about this isn't entertaining enough for you?
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Corners with no outs. File this under "Situations That Must Not Be Wasted"
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Cliffy rips a line single to right.1st and 3rd.Xman.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Nady goes -It's a whole new ballgame - 4-3 Mets.I love the X-Man
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 X is underrated.I thought he played great last night in the 8 hole...cleared the pitcher twice.Long live X.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Nady turns the game around! Whatta bomb!4-3, good guys
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Backe looks rattled, he almost took Woody's head off.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Theres no doubt Backe has been unsettled.Walks Woodward after almost crowning him.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 OHernandez gets the bunt down and moves Woody to second with two out.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Reyes is swingin very undisciplined since he came back.Still, less interviews, more Reyes clips FOX.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 El Duque outlasts Backe...didn't see that one coming.

Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Fox playing some Sabbath going into the break. Almost makes up for the awful in game broadcasting.Maybe not.
Guest KC Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 I was just gonna post the same thing re: Sabbath outake.*rant* These guys are freakin' just awful, the production is awful, and they are binded to say stupid crap like, "MLB did a good job getting the field readyfor bbyyy" -- when did MLB take over for the Shea ground crew?I don't love Meatloaf, but I respect him, I love a song he did on Nugent'sFree for All album -- I don't need to hear him sing and solicit the bozos inthe booth to join in -- shut up already NOW!!! */rant*
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 I dont think Ive ever seen a batter do what Delgado did there. After the called strike on the curve ball he did a lil air swing thru the zone where the pitch was immediatly afterward. He would like another shot at that pitch, Im sure.He goes down and gets them and hits em out.Borkowski come back with a similar pitch, but more in on Delgado, and he wiffs.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 And we will get at least 6 out of ElDouque, and he has settled down.Amazing.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 El Duque dealing now...7 or 8 in a row. He's fanned 7 through 6 IP.If he doesn't come to bat he'll go 7 today.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Just when we think Duckie's goose is cooked, he reels off 7 Ks, 8 straight batters retired, and finishes up 6 innings with a pitch count under 100.
