Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Two back - there was a runner on.Chavez catches the high fly ball to end the inning.6 outs to go and a 6-run lead.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 That super slow mo is pretty awsum---you can see the bat bend.Like the one they showed of Chavez earlier.Looked like the bat buckled on that.Okay--we are thru 7 and its 13-7.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 The best thing about this game (in addition to the monster comeback of course) is that it's delaying the telecast of their precious ESPYs.The over/under for in-game mentions that the ESPY telecast (which is on tape btw) was airing after the game was 85. I bet the over and am looking to clean up big time.Charlton Heston doesn't own enough weapons to make me watch that show.

It serves ESPN right to schedule their self-lovefest immediately after a live sporting event.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Heath Bell, up for Owens and in for Heilman.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 It's a safe enough lead that they're letting Thick Legged Heath Bell pitch!
Guest Iubitul Guests Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Fact of the day - Heath Bell's cousin Drake stars in "Drake and Josh" on Nickelodeon.

Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Fact of the moment - the Mets have a 6 run lead going to the 9th!

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Catro leads off the ninth with a line drive to the base of the left field wall and ends up with a single. Now those are some serious wheels.
