To avoid cluttering the board with redundent Polls, I think I will add a a list of true nominees here and ask that people simply cast their vote by posting the name of the player they are voting for in bold print.

John Maine turned in a prettty good effort for the Mets and received solid support from the bullpen, but the offense failed to produce. In this game, a base on balls was the team's most potent offensive weapon as the Mets scratched out only 3 measly singles.

Fittingly, our sponsor for the first game of this doubleheader is Sea Dog Brewing Company of Maine. So while awaiting the second game of the doubleheader, I suggest you pass the time by downing a few bottles of Sea Dog Bluepaw Blueberry Wheat Ale.
