TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 I can tell this lineup is ugly without even reading the names.2 hits, 7 strikeouts, 7 left on base, 2 runs scored (on 0 hits, both unearned) through 7 innings. The pitching has done it's part, frankly more than I expected...we need a couple of runs guys.
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Franco with the lead-off base hit. Come on Wright!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Who's hurt?...Gameday just says injury delay.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2006 Author Posted July 8, 2006 Ramirez, and what a play! Clipped in the head by elbow from the left fielder when they collided going for a popup. He held onto the ball, threw it in to the cutoff man, and then collapsed in pain.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2006 Author Posted July 8, 2006 Cliff Floyd bopped again! Just above the knee.
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Now its: Floyd Hit by pitch. He's a tough guy and takes his base.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2006 Author Posted July 8, 2006 Reyes in to pinch run for Franco. No head first slides, I hope.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Collision with Willingham and Ramirez on Wrights shallow pop to left.Willingham elbowed Ramirez right in the side of the skull. It was amazing that Ramirez held onto the ball and threw it back to the infield before going down in pain.OUCH!Floyd is solidly hit by a pitch in the leg.And Reyes will pinch run for Mr Franco!Kool.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 UGH--LoDuke gets tied up on an inside fastball and goes down swinging.Fox says only the 8th K for LoDuca this season.Come on Castro
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2006 Author Posted July 8, 2006 And yes -- a head first slide on a steal of third attempt -- called back as the pitch is fouled off. Leading with his bad hand.
