Freel gets a start, and I would rather not see that.
And his speed already effects the game with a slow grounder to third that Wright throws away in a rush.

Freel pulls into second base to lead off the game.

Freel is bunted over- Griffey drives him in with a sac fly to right.
1-0 Reds.

Soler looks a little up in the zone, but closes the 1st with a nice K of Kearns.

^awsum^

Freel with a nice play on Wrights grounder down the line ends the inning.

All tied up, 1-1

Soler gives up a line single to Hatteberg in the second, but works around it for a nice quick inning of work in the second.

ESPN shows a pretty neat 3-D view of the Mets future stadium between innings.
Niiiiiiiiiiiice.

UGH!
Valentin leads off the 2nd with a nice line single to right, tries to stretch it into two and is out by a freakin mile!

ESPN shows last nights effort for the inside the park homer by Val.
I wasnt even aware that that happened.

I imagine that flop hurt Nady some.

Freel singles again.
LoDuca gives him second as he lets a pitch get by him for a past ball.

Freel and Reyes have a very friendly looking chat out there as theres a lull in the action.

Lopez lines a single up the middle and Im really surprised they held up Freel at third.

Griffey up---
Griff knocks a base clearing double by Nady, who gives it a nice diving try.
It was a low wicked liner that finds the gap.

Wright with a real nice diving play at third saves a double and a run.
Nice tag by Delgado on the other end of the play.

Soler walks Dunn, who is the easiest K in the league (also hits the ball a country mile when he dont K).

Soler gets out of it without further damage, but a tuff inning for the rook pitcher.

3-1 Reds.

I'm with Keef. It's like you can see Reyes getting better every day.

Reyes works a full count and then lines a double off the wall in right.
Damn he's rakin it lately.

I love LoDukes throw back loose pants/hi-sox look.

On him,....I wouldnt be caught dead lookin like that.

Looks like this Reds pitcher Mays is settling in, and we gotta start rattling his cage.

Beltran does as he lines one off 2nd baseman Phillips and reaches.
Delgado up, runners on the corners.

DAMN THAT SHIFT!
A seeing eye grounder through what should be a hole sees its way into Phillips glove for an easy ground out.
Mets dont capitalize.

Freel takes a rip and half, doesn't he?

Im amazed he hasnt played everyday this season.

Valentins GREAT grab on a wicked liner saves Soler this inning.

I was afk so i dont know how they got the runners on, but it was 1st and 2nd, 2 out when he snagged that. Nice play.

Wright and Valentin with back to back singles to lead off the fourth.

Runners on 1st and 3rd, Nady at the dish.

Nady gets badly fooled on some off speed stuff and is punched out.

Chavez Ks.
Valentin steals second only thanks to a tricky slide, but Soler cant help himself at the plate and the Mets leave two on.

Nice crowd at Shea for a humpday night.

Whats LoDucas problem tonight?
Soler Ks Kearns and LoDuke lets the pitch get by him.
Kearns reahces first.
It was a pitch in the dirt, so called a wild pitch, but LoDuca couldve/shouldve gotten in front of that to stop it.

And Kearns scores on a 2 out double to right by Hatteberg.
Damn.

Almost had him at the plate.

Rally now!

Tied to the tracks and the train's fast coming
Strapped to the wing with the engine running
You say that this wasn't in your plan
Don't mess around with the demolition man

Tied to a chair, and the bomb is ticking
This situation was not of your picking
You say that this wasn't in your plan
Don't mess around with the demolition man

I'm a walking nightmare, an arsenal of doom
I kill conversation as I walk into the room
I'm a three line whip, I'm the sort of thing they ban
I'm a walking disaster, I'm a demolition man

Tied to a chair, and the bomb is ticking
This situation was not of your picking
You say that this wasn't in your plan
Don't mess around with the demolition man

You come to me like a moth to the flame
It's love you need but I don't play that game
'Cause you could be my greatest fan
But I'm nobody's friend, I'm a demolition man

I'm a walking nightmare, an arsenal of doom
I kill conversation as I walk into the room
I'm a three line whip, I'm the sort of thing they ban
I'm a walking disaster, I'm a demolition man

ESPN commentator calls him "the electrifying Jose Reyes"-

AND REYES TRIPLES OVER KEARNS HEAD!

Jose Reyes, demolition man.

Mays is rattled as he hurls a wild pitch and Reyes scores easily.

Reyes only needs a single for the cycle.
How bout that?

Yeah Valent, a radio station had a contest where every game a caller called and picked a player to hit for the cycle, if said player did, they'd win a million bucks! Caller for that day picked Mike Cammeron!

Really,lol.
And theres a horrible throw to the plate too boot.

Nice gapper by Wright.

Its up to Nady, bases loaded, 2 out.

UGH!
Nady swings at crap and helps out the Reds by striking out easily.
Maybe only that last pitch was a real strike.

Well, he's gotta get back in the groove, but thats a major waste of an opportunity there.
Mets leave the bases juiced.

Only one run, with Nady swinging at junk, but the Mets did more damage than that. Every batter tonight is one batter closer to Reyes coming around again. Let's get into their pen and do some damage.
