Today's Covers

I'm not sure if this is being discussed in another thread (if it is I apologize) but I couldn't help but notice today's covers while sitting on the train:







For the record, I don't think it means much...and the cover doesn't happen unless it's an off-day for both the Mets and Yanks with no NBA Finals. But it's interesting that all three rags went with the same idea.

I don't buy that the Mets are necessarily better right now simply because they are hotter at the moment. Nor do I discount how much baseball is left to be played. But I do love how paranoid this will make Yankee fans. This morning, the people sitting across for me were reading them right next to each other. I can only imagine what it must be like for a Yankee fan to see something like this.

I don't know. Kansas City has some Royals, I hear. Maybe a few of them are kings.
