Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Well, he didn't say that Jessica Alba was Katherine Hepburn or Meryl Streep, he said that she's his favorite. I don't think any teenage boy has to apologize for having Jessica Alba as a favorite actress!Would you rather he had said Bea Arthur?

Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Lady Godiva was a freedom rider She didn't care if the whole world looked. Joan of Arc with the Lord to guide her She was a sister who really cooked. Isadora was the first bra burner And you're glad she showed up. (Oh yeah) And when the country was falling apart Betsy Ross got it all sewed up. And then there's Maude. And then there's Maude. And then there's Maude. And then there's Maude. And then there's Maude. And then there's Maude. And then there's That old compromisin', enterprisin', anything but tranquilizing, Right on Maude.

Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Hey, where's the love for Adrienne Barbeau?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I once walked right across a movie shot with Bea Arthur over on 3rd Avenue. She and (the now late) Richard Kiley were filming some TV movie in front of a building I was working in at the time. It was around lunch time and they had stopped all sidewalk traffic on either side of the block. Except that didn't stop those who were jaywalking directly across the middle of the block; like, umm ... me. So as cameras are rolling, I appeared from between two parked trucks and right across the shoot I had no idea was there. The suckers never saw me coming. As far as I know I was cut out of the final take although I never saw the flick.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Probably. The timing's about right.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Stegall looks like he's leaning toward signing with the Mets and passing on football. It's boggling that an athlete can pass on being a UM quarterback in order to be a minor-league outfielder with the Mets., especially after the Mets already had one Miami quarterback peter out in their system.I celebrate it, of course.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Thirty-third-rounder jazzed to represent Wheeling.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I don't see why everyone's making a big deal about Almonte marrying a 30 year-old. Lots of guys marry younger women.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I think that most people who have spouses more than 10 years their junior should pretty much wait to marry until the significant other has left high school. But then there's that whole possiblity of the signing bonus thing that they might miss out on if they do that.I could be wrong.
