Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Jeez Kaz, even I wouldn't swing at that.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I've got to format my rally songs faster.Kaz is having the type of night that could make a fella's manager run out of patience.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Nothing has been more depressing this season than the results of Pedro's last 5 starts:6 IP, 1 ER, 9 K -- ND (Mets win)7 IP, 3 ER, 10 K -- ND (Mets lose)7 IP, 4 ER, 10 K -- ND (Mets lose)7 IP, 0 ER, 8 K -- ND (Mets lose)7 IP, 2 ER, 10 K -- ND or L (not looking good)with any luck he'd be 10-0.Baseball suxx
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Well, Lo Duca made a TPaHP. Small mercies.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Fielder pulled off the bag ... hit bouncing off second base ... pitcher neglecting to pick up the ball ... what odd quirk of futility will happen next?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Great. After watching that inning I have to watch the aorta.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Florida walks the leadoff guy (like we do). Payback, I summon thee.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 It's nice for the Mets to have a leadoff walk for a change.
Guest cooby Guests Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Edgy, I think your rally songs are bad luck!(though that's a really super song)
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 The word is spreading among major league managers: start your rookie pitchers against the Mets!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 The Mets have once again come out flat against a rookie pitcher. Their professional scouting staff should be addressed. So address them! Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I'm more than happy to turn rally songs over to somebody else or nobody else.Hey, how about Russ Bove or Howie Freiling?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 ]A Benedict Arnold so to speak? You've been hot.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 ]I'll bet Harry never tripped going up or down stairs in those glasses.Oh I think Harry tripped A LOT walking up stairs, down stairs, and on flat ground. He was known to drink his dinner more than occasionally.]Braves beat Cubs in the 9th on a throwing error. Carlos Zambrano took a no-hitter into the 7th.And speaking of Harry's old team ... man they suck! Not only did they lose after taking a no-no into the 7th, but they let 2 runs in on bases-loaded walks, and then 2 more (the winning runs in fact) on a single Sac Fly!!Meanwhile ... we suck too - that was Fugly!!!!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Your rally song was one of my favs and the best Edge. They just dont always work, and thats what makes em special.I bet that one can work at a time when the time really needs to come today.Sadly, this game was another wasted Pedro outting. He wasnt great, but comon--all those Ks and only afew runs. He was.The boys have to step up and hit and make it so.What happened to Beltrans Pedro homers? At least we useta be able to count on those. But i tip my hat to Johnson.
