And Oliver looks pretty good from the box score:

Schneider down swinging
D. Jackson down looking
Watson down swinging.

Sweet.

Wow, go Oliver.
I won't be bitter about Feliciano to AAA any more.

I think you flip Bradford and Oliver, Heilman and Sanchez.

I agree with DD, I think smart move is to try to get a few innings from Oliver. Unless it's deemed Julio time...

What's our current middle relief depth chart, assuming everyone is rested?

Sanchez
Heilman
Oliver
Bradford
Julio

???

I think Heilman's the top set-up guy, followed by Sanchez. Willie seems to be using Bradford as a ROOGIE/guy to use when a DP is needed. After that, I guess it's Oliver, then Julio?

I'm liking ESPN Gamecast. There's a scrolling stat window. After Wright went to an 0-1 count, it gave me his career stats when the count is 0-1, then his stats against Washington this month, then his stats against LHP this year, then his career stats against Eischen.

Of course, this isn't Murderer's Row. It's not even Mur-diddly-urderer's Row.

But go, Oliver. Kind of wreckless to burn your sole lefty for two days though with a four-inning stint.

If Oliver collects a hit with the bases loaded, are we in official "Laugher" territory?

There is the Heilman factor to consider and his effectiveness in getting LHers out. I thought part of Oliver's role in the pen was to be the long man too...4 inning save here to keep rest of bullpen rested wouldn't be the worst thing in the world...

Oliver with a 2-run single!

Very prescient.

I'd pinch hit for him. Fuck it, we've got a 5 run lead already. If our PH'er does nothing, we can still use Bradford & Julio. If we get into trouble, we've still got one of Heilman & Sanchez.

Wow.

Well, ignore my last post.

Willie, once again, proving that he's a genius.

RBI Double for Reyes.

Woodward drives in 2 more with a single.

13-3 Mets/

That's the other side. I'm not sure what Willie sees him as --- situational lefty or innings-eating long man. Let's do it this way: If he burns Oliver, let's attack Willie for wasting his situational lefty. If he pulls him after two innings, we can attack him wasting a higher-ranked pitcher and not letting his long man stretch it out.

It's win-win.

If there was a mercy rule, I think the Nats would accept it at this point.

Last year we gave Arizona a thorough beating and returned to Shea to lose an important series to Philly.

Let's not do that again.

Maybe it's time for Washington to pull Joey Eischen.
