Hernandez grounds into a double play.

ah, well.

Hope so. He's looked good and his pitch count is pretty low.

I'd be comfortable with Heilman in there for two, though--really, Willie can't make a bad call here.

We thought that yesterday, didnt we?

I'll be on the lookout for Julio in the 9th *shifty eyes*

i would like to see more blowouts so jorge julio gets a chance to figure himself out. maybe 6 runs in the top of the ninth to clear some space for that dude.

Pedro only 86 pitches!

You know what? I'm glad they took him out.

He's still getting back into it.

We need him for the stretch run this year, and don't forget he got tired of baseball early last year.

I'm not sure if there's much to figure out. The guy can throw, but he can't work a batter. He's a slinger and nothing more.

Deep fly caught at the track by Beltran.

Wright, playing in, makes a nice play on a high chopper to his right. Strong throw ends the inning.

Ninth inning. I hope Wags isn't tired.

Wright with a nice play there. He was playing in on Watson, who poked a ball to Wright's right. Wright snagged it, did a 270, then threw out Watson to end the inning.

Very nice.

if thats the case, then maybe a couple more julio innings would help along the transition to heath bell.

I agree with needing a 6-run inning here.

Old Man River doesn't help, going down swinging.

Why hasn't Willie figured out the double switch yet? I'd rather see Heilman for two.

Admit it: You're nervous.

Nah. Take Nady out of there and throw in Chavez. Defense is solid and Heilman gets a two-inning save.

Now it's gonna be Billy.

I'm a little nervous.

Hadn't thought about that -- I like that strategy.
Wagner apparently hitting 97 tonight. 1 out.

WOW, best start since the 1985 season, that was a good game to watch, lots of positive things, Pedro, Eric and Billy to mane three.

Wags looked a little inconsistent there, but pretty damn solid.

Sweet win.

I like this team. But I find myself wondering when the bottom's gonna fall out. I remember stretches like this last year (well, I remember TWO stretches like this last year) surrounded by some seriously shitty play.

Enough of the negativity, though! A fine win!
