Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Ick. Double play erases our second leadoff runner.
Guest mlbaseballtalk Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Hey Moron Radio guy alert. Stringer on 1050 ESPN Radio mentions something about the game, then the update guy comments that the stringer had JUST jinixed the game. Well the jinx didn't happen, but the way the update guy said it made me think that something DID happen when in actuality, it DID NOT!Ugh!
Guest Bret Sabermetric Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I'm surprised you're unfamiliar with Marlowe: A heavy case When force to force is knit, and sword and glaive In civil broils make kin and countrymen Slaughter themselves in others, and their sides With their own weapons gore!Still 0-0. Glaive sacrifices Hernandez to strange territory for him, second base.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Fish aren't good enough to try and get away with baserunning like that.On their way to 110 losses.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 there's something i wanna talk about but I won't for a while.
Guest mlbaseballtalk Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 7,001 and counting...Yeah that assumes this becomes an official game, pretty safe assumtion though at this point!
Guest holychicken Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I was really hoping that we would jump all over willis . . . instead it seems that he continues to dominate us. But whatever, sword boy looks pretty good.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 with all these games against the fish & nationals (two TERRIBLE offenses) in 3 great pitcher's parks this is a great year for a no-hitter - or a met pitcher to lead the league in era anyway. I wonder what odds you'd get on Pedro for a Cy Young.
Guest Bret Sabermetric Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I like Dean and DeLuca. A little pricey, but nice.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Mets down 2-0 and no posts to note.Paul No Nuka just walked on ten pitches on an automatic ball. What gives? Is Dontrelle Willis (future Yankee, by the way) going to his mouth too much?OE: No, apparently he singled. Stoopit Gameday.

Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 2-2 Tie. Wright gets a gift triple and the duke and Beltran score - Boooooooo!
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Dagnabbit. Nady shoulda drove in a run there.
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 And they strand Wright at 3rd. The game's in the Bullpen's hands.
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Our heavy hitting second baseman gets on with a leadoff hit.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Wagner's got to pitch the ninth whether they take a lead or not.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Tough spot for the Marlins to throw a rookie into.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 And... the Met have the winning run on third, no outs, and David Wright coming up.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Starting 0-5: muy malo.Starting 4-1: muy bien.
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Good stuff. Nice come from behind win against their ace. I hope our bullpen can get us a few of these late inning wins against the better teams too.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Great game. Willis & Glavine both looked pretty dominant tonight. Wright DID get a gift on that triple, but it likely would've been a RBI single regardless. Sanchez looked pretty good, if a little inconsistent. Billy's got to get his fastball working, but he was effective, so I guess I can't complain too much.
