they were just chanting his name and he came out, radio says Julio Franco made his first contribution as "veteran presense" by forcing Beltran to the top step.

I agree 100% that Billy should keep playing Enter Sandman. But I do think that the chanting of the name is kind of a Skankee thing.

We don't need actual numbers, Elster. We just say whatever we FEEEEEEEEEEEEL. Some of us take shit for those feelings, others not so much....

Do you realize that I knew you were going to say that? You are nothing if not predictable.

I'd like to point out a simple difference.

I stated here that my feeligns could be proven wrong. You have stated several times that anyone who doesn't agree with your feelings is delusional.

Hopefully you realize that's the reason you take shit. Because you call people delusional when they ask for statistical backup of your feelings. You do not take shit simply for having anti-Piazza feelings. Accepting this will probably make you a happier man.

First base.

]Booooo!

Second base.

]Booooo! You suck!

Third base.

]Booooo! This guy gets paid 16 million dollars and I work sixty hours a week just to feed my family and have enough left over to come oout here and watch his worthless ass.

Home plate.
]Booooo! Go back to Mexico, you bum!

Come on and join me everybody. It's fun. We'll rationalize it later.

Floyd doubles!
Wright scores!
9-5 Mets lets give Heilman and Wagner a rest.

Cliff's double drives home Mr. Wright to make it 9-5 Mets :)

It was good to see. Can't let Beltran get all sulky. Next thing you know, we'll have

Beltran Too Good For Fans

headlines or some stupid shit like that. Take what the fans give you, Carlos.

Any rational reason I enjoy the Mets beating Joey Eischen in particular so much?

The career OPS of young Mr. Hernandez just fell below .100.

You no...like Joey Eischen? UUUUUUURRRRGGGGHHH!

First well-struck ball of Hernandez's career. And he didn't get booed either.

I again use this as evidence that there is no racial-bias behind the jeers for Beltran, but rather a stupidity problem.

Edgy perhaps he reminds you of some block-head asshole from your youth?

Hernandez scorched that ball, but Soriano was right there.

Beltran's still sulking. He's gotta get over it. Mets fans aren't fair, dude. Keep your head down and play hard. Try and have some fun with it.

I feel like sending him one of those "hang in there" cards.

Why was Duaner Sanchez hitting there? Put in Diaz or Franco. If they get a hit, you could throw Julio out there in the 8th and it would be tough for even him to blow it.

5 relievers pitched yesterday. No off days until Monday. Victor pitching on Sunday, when the relievers will be most tired. Sanchez only pitched one inning, he could go 2 and then we only need one guy to end the game.

I think that when irrational hateful shit festers, plus beer, race tends to sneak into it.

I think we all know that Anderson Hernandez is catching something of a break because they booed his predecessor into distraction, and so they recognize to an extent their responsibility to the situation, and that he's a minimum wage-earning easily-disposeable non-threat to them.

Damn I love the passion Sanchez has after he gets the big out, fist pumping and all that.....I think he'll become a fan fave..

I'd actually wonder about using Sanchez for a 3rd inning. Let everybody else be fresh for the weekend.

Duaner strikes out the side in the 8th.

I'm learning to like this kid.
