MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Since I couldn't find the "Retire Clemente;s Number"or a prediction thread, I'll post this here:I predict that in a few years, as MLB tries to become International and establish teams overseas, someone will try to get Masanori Murikami's number retired. And to promote good will for the new teams, MLB will do it.Jackie broke the color line. But Murikami was the first player to break through the Pacific Rim when he played for San Francisco. Just a thought.Later
