This is one you haven't seen before. Mike Piazza, being very gracious before the Beanie Babies Day game in 1999 by posing with the giveaway Beanie and giving quotes to a very scared and inexperience writer -

yea, the Mets did wear that uni for a game one year. Thats where it came from alright.

Y' know, Zvon, that lighting makes Piazza look a little Christ-like, don't you think? The halo effect of it, the gazing off into the distance, the patient endurance in his expression, even the beard...I wonder if he wasn't the reincarnation of Jesus on earth, after all.

Now y'see, I would have thought that if you were going to get up at 4 in the morning to make Piazza jokes you would have jumped on the previous picture instead.

Maybe something along the lines of;
'Hey look, it's a shot of a broken down Italian icon ... and he's standing in front of the Coliseum'

He's the one manager I had such a bad problem getting a pic for, and I did find one awwwwwwwful black & white one and I tried to colorize it and,.....it looked even worse afterwards.

So I have the one of Salty.

This is gonna be a loooooong week.
