Don't be a cheapo, DD, get her the ring:

The ring is listed as having been presented to "scout becker." There is a Mike Becker, a part-time scout based out of Flushing, listed in the 1986 media guide.

OK, so you don't want a championship ring? Here's the kind of thing I could fall for...

The New York Mets: The First Quarter Century, a history re-issued to commemorate their 1986 championship. This one is signed by 70 players and personnel, several of whom are now deceased.

Today's trinket is the Mets banner that hung from Veteran's Stadium to indicate the standings, 1971-1973.

Hand-painted, yo.

No bids in yet. Reserve set at $1599.

thats pretty steep for a banner that spent 3 seasons at an opponents' stadium...
if it had been at Shea i bet someone would bid $1000 or so...

Actually, it hung until 2003. I was posting too late to make sense.

This is a strange item, just a signed #4 by Seaver , not a full jersey, here is a description...

]THIS AUCTION IS FOR A SIGNED SINGLE JERSEY NUMBER - THIS IS NOT A FULL JERSEY

That reminds me of the 2000 Mets World Series Champs video that Hoch
either got or got an image of. Someone must been sniffin' an awful lot of
turpentine to put that 2005 book into production.

Huh?

I saw a 2004 one not too long ago as well on ebay

Apparantly they've been making them anyway for media consumption only and only make the "real" ones available for the public (2000 was sold at Shea)

Just a year end book keeping thing I guess where the staff just throws all the computations and data in so writers and broadcasters and such can do their year in review type stuff and refer back to things without waiting untill Feb-March when the next years book comes out

I put a bid in on it, but I pulled out when it looked like it would be over $10.00 after shipping. I don't want to go into two figures to find out Tim Hamulack's wife's name.
