Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Don't be a cheapo, DD, get her the ring:The ring is listed as having been presented to "scout becker." There is a Mike Becker, a part-time scout based out of Flushing, listed in the 1986 media guide.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 OK, so you don't want a championship ring? Here's the kind of thing I could fall for...The New York Mets: The First Quarter Century, a history re-issued to commemorate their 1986 championship. This one is signed by 70 players and personnel, several of whom are now deceased.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Today's trinket is the Mets banner that hung from Veteran's Stadium to indicate the standings, 1971-1973.Hand-painted, yo.No bids in yet. Reserve set at $1599.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 thats pretty steep for a banner that spent 3 seasons at an opponents' stadium...if it had been at Shea i bet someone would bid $1000 or so...
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Actually, it hung until 2003. I was posting too late to make sense.

Guest abogdan Guests Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 It's not EBay, but Mets.com is auctioning off Miguel Cairo's pants:
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 If anyone buys them he'll probably take them out back and pee on them. That's what I'd do.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 This is a strange item, just a signed #4 by Seaver , not a full jersey, here is a description...]THIS AUCTION IS FOR A SIGNED SINGLE JERSEY NUMBER - THIS IS NOT A FULL JERSEY
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Tickets for Mets V Redsox are up for bid..http://cgi.ebay.com/2-TICKETS-RED-SOX-NY-METS-JUNE-28th-2006_W0QQitemZ6588656428QQcategoryZ16122QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Been there, done that. (October 18, 19, and 25, 1986.)
Guest KC Guests Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 That reminds me of the 2000 Mets World Series Champs video that Hocheither got or got an image of. Someone must been sniffin' an awful lot ofturpentine to put that 2005 book into production.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I put a bid in on it, but I pulled out when it looked like it would be over $10.00 after shipping. I don't want to go into two figures to find out Tim Hamulack's wife's name.
