Oops to me, too. I didn't see the Willie and Eric Davis post.

Sorry about that.

Let's try wins by an opposing pitcher. And to slow it down, let's limit our guesses to three pitchers each, until you learn whether your guess is right or wrong.

Larry (p'tui) Jackson
Mike Krukow - It still galls me that Ralph Kiner likes the guy and manages to get the director to show him (broadcasting for SF) on Met telecasts.

Two of the remaining four were Phillies. One of the non-Phillies was before my time. For the fourth guy, my strongest memory of him is him pitching against the Phillies in Veterans Stadium.

I'm bad at this game. I'm hoping some of my wrong guesses were close. I was sure at least one of them got 16.

Guy before Yance's time in the NL...

Hmmm, Gaylord Perry?

Well Phillie from the 80's aint a former Met, non of the MetPhils would really rank on the list...

Trying to cross reference classic postseason games at the Vet, can't seem to come up with Ex-Phils on anyone's staff that would be prolific in beating the Mets...

John Denny is the Phillie.

And no, Gaylord Perry wasn't before my time. I wish I was that young.

This guy we're looking for got all his wins as a member of the same team. He last pitched in 1971, but that was in the American League. HIs last win against the Mets was in 1969.
