Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Where's jb? I feel a group therapy session coming on.
Guest KC Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Bring on the Cards!!(I got nothing to add)
Guest Spacemans Bong Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Well, at least this game demonstrated the glaringly obvious need for BJ Ryan in 2006.
Guest ABG Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 It's over. We're gonna make up 5 games on Houston--and 4 on Florida--with 23 to play? Fuckingshitfuckshit.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 The entire history of the Mets against the Braves in one pitch - Castro hits a bullet that could have broken the game open- right at Rafael Fecal.Disembowelment with a rusty, dull, butter knife is too good for Braden Looper.EDIT: I told you I didn't think she looked like a virgin.Later
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 If the Mets rebound from this, in any way, shape, or form, I will be amazed. This loss is easily the most painful point of this season of possiblilities.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 got a 9-game homestand coming up.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Stick a fork in us, we're done, even though we lost I tought Takatsu showed some balls, very nearly did it.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Fork us...all season I told myself two things: 1.We're capable of a hot-streak (and in the tepid NL that could mean a playoff berth)2. The early Septemeber trip to Florida, Atlanta, and St.Louis would prolly decide our fateHow nice, I thought, if points 1 and 2 would coincide...ah well, such is life (or as ZVON would say--thats baseball!)
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Takatsu was a September callup, who would still be pitching for the White Sox if he were any good, and Willie brings him into TWO absolutely critical bases loaded situations? I guess he didn't take enough heat for the first one. Willie shows no confidence in a guy who pitched a one-hitter for him earlier in the year, but keeps showing confidence in a guy who keeps proving he's not up to the job. Takatsu will get Willie run out of New York if he's not careful. And maybe that wouldn't be a bad thing. As for Looper, he just punched his one-way ticket himself. I was kind of doubtful his option would get picked up even before tonight, but now, forget it.
Guest 86-Dreamer Guests Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I am sure Looper would have found another way to blow it in the ninth, but did anyone else think that leadoff double was a foul ball? Maybe I am blind, but the replay that caused Keith to say "definately a fair ball" prompted the exact opposite reaction from me (and caused my 3 year old to blurt out "Stop yelling Daddy!"). Of course, Willie had no objection to the call.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Wow. Now I'm glad I fell asleep and missed the end, though I was pissed when I first woke up this morning._____________________________This post had the designation 162) Mike Phillips
Guest holychicken Guests Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I still don't understand why he brought looper back out.Why did he bring looper back out?Looper out in the tenth after a dismal 9th? Why does willie hate us so?*cries*
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I haven't read this thread.I will not read this thread.Don't love the pain that much.Yet.
