Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Mole, throw that TV out the window. It's apparently broken, muuch like the Mets. The Cubs have the Curse of the Goat. The Mets have the curse of the Braves.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 This has not been a good year for Looper.

Guest ABG Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 If Minaya isn't on the phone right NOW!!!! with Billy Wagner's agent, he's got some explaining to do.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I'm always surprised by how short the time frame is between when we realize Looper sucks and when people forget about it.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Nice dig by Eyechart on an absolute rocket in the dirt from Reyes. Two outs, and Langerhans on third representing the winning run for the evil empire of the south.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Can we bring in Dwight Gooden, circa 1986, now?
Guest KC Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I actually feel sorry for Glavine, and I don't particularly like him much.

Guest cooby Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Looper may be a good choice for us all to dump from our teams. Grrrrr

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 See, I never had Looper on my team. I didn't want him.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 The starters (pitchers) all did their job in this series. They should sue their teammates, particularly those wielding such impotent bats, for none support.Looper at least succeeds at not losing the game. Whoop-dee-damn-doo.2-2 heading to the tenth.
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I only took him because he is the Mets closer
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Extra innings.Old Mole, how long is this going to last?
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Matsui, Beltran, and Floyd coming up. They'll probably bring out Farnsworth, but if they bring out Kolb, we can shell his ass.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Reitsma, eh? We can take him.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 You know how a cat will have a mouse in its clutches, but instead of simply killing it the cat will toy with it and toy with it and toy with it before killing it?I feel like we're the mouse.

I dunno if this makes me feel good stuff about the Mets or further depressed. We have wasted some good efforts at a time we really needed them.Beltran singles with one out.COMEONN CLIFFFFFFFY!
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Beltran gets on.Come on, Cliffy!!!
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Who are we sending out in the bottom of the inning?
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Floyd walks, and here comes Wright... oh boy!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 floyd walks.Wright.1st & 2nd, 1 out---i have this feeling of........deja vue????DONT TRY AND STEAL CARLOSSSSSSSSSSplease.hey, we got to rietsma easiely enuff, Cox is pulling him. Injured? We musta hurt his state of mind.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I was wondering why the pitch count wasn't moving.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 You call this pain? Oh, wait, wrong thread. I don't get us. We keep hitting the ball pretty well and taking walks but we just can't score any damn runs. Our pitching has been pretty close to perfect outside of Looper. I mean, outside of one clutch hit every night--and not making boneheaded, dumbass plays like trying to steal third with Wright at bat--our guys have played pretty well this series and our pitching has been ALMOST perfect. And yet we're almost certainly going to lose. I agree about Wagner. We should absolutely sign him this offseason if he doesn't get locked up soon. Loop could be a good ROOGY, and we could use Heilman as a setup guy. Trading Loop would be fine too--we've got some decent arms we could use to replace him. Anyone wanna bet that if this game goes much further, we see Graves? I hope I'm wrong, but Willie had him warming up yesterday. Not a good sign.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Brower. Throws stuff.Smart move Cox, but not vs. Wright. right mole?Teel me he hits
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 If he puts in Graves, I swear I will turn off my tv
