Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 The strategy of avoiding players the Mets face is SOOOO self-defeating. I used to make the same mistake, and my teams did terribly. Now, all I do is refuse to draft Yankees or Braves.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 ......complications.Glavine walks Chipper.Willies gonna pull him.
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 A lot of my other guys are Red Sox. I'm trying to cozy up to Bret
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Glavine did a nice job today. He's pitched well recently. Let's get him a W, Bert.

I had Cameron but dropped him of course. Piazza is on reserve and I am thinking of dropping him, I don't look to see him back.cripe, i forgot, I had him too. Dropped him after the 'face off' with Carlos.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Hernandez is big here.he must shut em down.Must get A Jones
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 On my team I have the following Mets:WrightFloydMartinezSeoI took Wright in the sixth round.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 throw another breaking ball....DONT SHOW HIM THE FAST BALL again.Gets him to fly out.Good job old man
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I had Glavine at one point, but dropped him quickly. Picked up Zambrano a few months ago, and picked up Seo after his first start back, so that's been a nice boost. Tried to get Wright, but his owner's a big Mets fan too, so that wasn't gonna happen.Nice out, Bert.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Great effort by Glavine tonight. Hopefully Roberto can preserve a victory.Good job of shutting down the Brave by Hernandez. He has been much better than I ever expected him to be this season.Someone needs to explain to the Mets that it's okay, even preferrable, to score more than 2 runs in a game.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Nice job by Berto. I'd be sooooo tempted to stick w/him for the 9th except that his turn of bat will come up here.Braves bench is loaded w/leftys which scares me vis-a-vis Looper.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Diaz with a rope into the RCF gap for a stand up double with one out in the ninth. Come on guys, we need insurance.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 2 down, Diaz on third and Reyes, popppppsssss it uppppp.Damn!!!! Damn!!!! Damn!!!!
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I hate one-run leads in the ninth.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 DAMMIT DIAZ! Do NOT jog after the ball in the bottom of the goddamn ninth inning!! Why the hell is he still out there?!?!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 if Looper blows this, I will go mad.....FRANCOUER DOUBLES TO START THE 9THNOOOOOOOOOOOOONOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Franceour with a lead off double into the right field corner. Looked like he could have had a triple if he wanted to push it. I need another beer quick.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Get Tim Freaking Hamulack into this game. I hat Braden Looper (and Victor Diaz, although he's lucky as hell that was only a double).
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I predict a old original jb appearance
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 One HUGE out. Franceoueur still at second.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Two outs. And I don't like that graphic about the 11 Brave wins'
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Looper induces the pop up.I almost cant watch. I just cant take Looper anymore. How do you serve a pitch like that up to Francouer. That guy can hit anyones heat, no less right over the plate.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Is Mole's TV on some sort of reverse delay, where he sees things before they happen?
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 oldmole - "Two outs."mole turns psychic on us. I hope he's proven right.
