Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Rollins makin Seo throw pitches. How bout Cameron takin out the lineup card...... nice to see.
willpie Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Oof. 10-pitch first AB for Rollins
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 shit.....Lofton goes yard.Didnt expect that.Only the 4rth HR given up by Seo this year. Both he and Rollins made Seo throw quite afew pitches for the 1st 2 batters on the game. They do keep Utley off the bases.Calas says Abreu is only batting .128 vs the Mets this season. How bout that?
willpie Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Uh-oh, Jae.26 Pitches, 2 HR, 3 ER, 2 Outs. Not such a great start.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 UGHHHHHHH.Burrell smacks his 27th dinger.DAMN.29th Home Run vs the Mets for his career, leading all Phils.
willpie Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Anyone watching this on TV? What's wrong with Seo tonight? The sportsline gamecenter is not forthcoming.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Phils phorce Seo to throw over 30 pitches in the 1st inning. That tells the tale. Its all up hill from here, tonight.

Cant tell by lookin at Seo.The pitch to Burrell wasnt all that bad. He went down and got it.The pitch to Lofton was rather phat but whod a thought he'd pop one.....
willpie Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 I am shocked--SHOCKED--that Cairo grounded out. Shocked, I tell you.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 On the plus side, Seo maintains his tasty K/9 & K/BB ratios by striking out 2 during the inning and walking none. But seriously, Gary & Howie said Seo's fastball is a bit slower than usual--86 instead of 89/90 he had been getting up to.Starts like this will happen where he doesn't have his best stuff. Let's see how he adjusts. Beltran answers with his first home run in like 100 at bats!!Bout time, asshole!
willpie Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Boom, Beltran! Good time to wake up, Carlos!

willpie Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Love the Kaboom graphic, Zvon.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 holy crap! How did Bell not catch that pop up?!!!!I never saw a play like that in my life!

Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Damnit, Gary, don't get all excited like it's a home run when it's not.Anyway, David flies out to Lofton to end the inning.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 i really wish they proved the old addage that errors kill after that fluky dropped pop by Bell. But the boys answer back, and Ill take it.We got game

Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 And Cairo's lack of range costs us a run as Rollins singles in Lieberthal.Motherfucker. Let's just play Matsui, for Christ's sake. Gary & Howie aren't happy either.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Phils play small ball and plate another.A single, sac, basehit off Cairos glove.4-1.Rollins steals second. Close play.Phils are just doin everything right.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Lofton flies out on a changeup by Seo to end the inning. I'm getting pissy now. Let's score some runs.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Gary & Howie have been killing Cairo all year for his lack of range, all while the rest of the NYC media are so busy praising him for NOT being Matsui that they either fail to notice or choose to ignore.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 I sure do like the look of Jacobs swing. He hits it hard, but lines out to right.
