Monday: Tom Glavine vs Jose Acevedo
Tuesday: Kaz Ishii (3-8, 5.15) vs Jeff Francis (8-7, 5.57)
Francis has been much better at home (6-2, 4.09) than on the road (2-5, 6.94). Plus, despite a two-start week, I didn't put him in my fantasy starting lineup this week. Combine that with Kaz Ishii "Really Going Out With Him" on the mound for the fan favorites, this one could be ugly. Francis has never faced the Mets.

Wednesday: Vagina Boy (4-9, 3.86) vs Jamey Wright (5-10, 5.30)
Wright is as mediocre as pitchers can be, and is far worse at home (.358 BAA) than on the road. Hopefully he can help the bats wake up. Cliff Floyd is 3-13 career against Wright with 2 HRs; as a whole, however, active Mets have just 13 hits in 86 AB against him. Jamey Wright has never faced David Wright.

Who's Hot?
Todd Helton is starting to wake up, going 11-38 on the Rox' recent road trip.
Matt Holliday has been hitting since coming off the DL, going 7-19 in his last five.

Who's Not?
Rookie 3B Garrett Atkins went 6-32 on the trip.
Eric Byrnes is 7-40 since joining the club.

Interesting Notes
The Rockies have a winning record at home (25-23 after last night's W), but have the worst road record (10-40) since the 1979 Oakland A's.
There have been only 102 HRs hit at Coors Field in 2005, which places it 13th among all Major League parks.
Anderson Machado made his major league debut the other day, becoming the 16th Rockie rookie this year. That's more than any other club.
How bad is the NL West? Since June 1, the Rocks have the best record in the division... at 20-28.
Rockies pitchers lead the NL in walks, wild pitches, and hit batters; Rockies fielders lead the league in errors.

The nerve of that friggin guy. He was an absolute punching bag for the Mets this season.

I suppose it's possible he needed more work to recover following his broken leg, but I'm just chalking it up the relief pitching being a complete crapshoot providing few good explanations for anything. He did the same shit to the O's last year.

Nice job seawolf. But you left someone off the All Time Mets/Rockies team. Granted, he didn't spend that much time in Colorado before winding up on the DL last season. But if Kane Davis is worthy of mention, then Turk Wendell certainly belongs on the list.
