i've given up trying to guess, and have decided to see if i could root out the answers before others actally guessed them.

in doing so, i've come to question the answer for Cleveland:

March 29, 2004: Sent to the New York Mets by the Cleveland Indians as part of a conditional deal.

hang on I demand a recount; Jose Bautista was NEVER involved with the mets, what the Pirates did with Huber when they got him is NOTHING to do with us ;)

Except you got it backwards. We sent Huber to KC for Bautista, then sent Bautista, Wiggy & Peterson to Pittsburgh for Benson/Keppinger.

For both Milwaukee and Colorado:

Mets send Benny Agbayani to the Rox.
Mets send Lenny Harris & Glendon Rusch to the Brewers.
Rox send Craig House & Russ Gload to the Mets.
Brewers send Jeff D'Amico, Lou (calling all) Collier, Jeromy Burnitz and Mark Sweeney to the Mets.

Not that we care but the Rox send Alex Ochoa to the Brewers.

Hey Edgy, you give up on being the gameshow host here?

Arizona... would that be the Mark Little for PJ Bevis deal?

Come on guys- Florida- Preston Wilson, Ed Yarnall, Geoff Goetz for Mike Piazza

And I think that Toronto was the Tony Phillips trade, can't remember who they got though...

Yeah, sorry.

Sharpie: Cincy I'm going with Shaun Estes for Pedro Feliciano and Elvin Anderson and (later) Raul Gonzalez and Brady Clark.

Bingo! Abso-feakin’-lutely correct

sharpie: And Pods I'm going with Bubba Trammell for Donne Walle.

That ends your winning streak.

metsmarathon: did we trade scott erickson to texas, or did they pick him up after he was released? or did he not go to texas last year after we were through with him, and i'm smoking crack?

Are you asking or are you answering?

I need two packages to make a trade.

Great.

This is a closed book test.

I have mixed information here, but I understand Goots as having been released.

Hint: the remaining teams go in this order, from most recent trading partners to most distant:

Kansas City
Colorado
San Diego
Washington/Montreal
Florida
Toronto
Texas

Hint II: Two of the trades were on the same day.
Hint III: Three of them were deadline deals.
HInt IV: A few have been guessed, but the guesses didn't include all the personnel.

I cheated and looked the rest of them up, and there's no way people are guessing some of these. Because I've looked at the answers, I'll respectfully remove myself from the game the rest of the way.

Hints

Florida: Think first-at-bat home runs.

San Diego: Peeps have gotten pieces of this, but there are a few leftover details that they haven’t been able to wrap up.

Texas: The trade involved a solid journeyman fourth outfielder, who only got a partial season with us after being acquired in a high-profile trade.

Toronto: The Mets trade for a veteran bat off the bench.

Washington/Montreal: Parts of this trade have been suggested, but not the whole enchilada. It’s part of the great Rick Anderson/Ed Hearn trade chain.
