Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Beltran got a homer tonight. He got it from the other side of the fence and pulled it back.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 ]Something's not right with Beltran. Whatever it is, he needs to get straightened out.Well his legs are kinda fucked, he's at about 80% health...not an excuse but it's the onethe Mets are pushing.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 best regular season game ever, makes me very mad that i chose to work today over going to the game, but hey at least i saw it.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Did you hear gary Cohen's call on the inside the park homer?, it was freaking unreal, one of the great calls, and Howie Rose's call on Floyd's homer was a delight...
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 True enough, Irish & Edgy, but this is nowhere near the level of offense we expected from him. His stats all year--even when healthy--have been below average for him. OPS's the last three years: .847, .911, .915. The .800 or so he's at now isn't cutting it. Don't get me wrong, he's been very consistent for us and I still like the signing and think he's a great player, but if he keeps this up, he'll have been a disspointment for us this season. Shea's not helping him at all--he's got some serious H/A splits--but he didn't hit well away from home last year either and still managed to put up some nice overall numbers.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 I get what you are saying Rotblatt, he has been not what I expected, but I think his health is a major factor, not sure but I think his numbers with RISP are some of the best on the team...Marlon Anderson is on the FAN, Tony Paige just played him Gary Cohen's call on his inside the park home run, Anderson was so happy he asked ofr a copy...Cohen is the best without a doubt.

Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Damn, I wish I had turned on the radio. My girlfriend was watching the game with me in the early going and doesn't like listening to one while watching the other, something which I do when I'm watching by myself. Maybe they'll replay it before today's game . . .
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 I turned on the game in the car, driving home, just in time to hear Gary Cohen's call. And got home in time to watch Cliffie's HR.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 The WB11 showed a shot of a note on Cliff's locker -]I owe you anything you want.#16
