stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Willets Point Brewery. Sadly not an actual operating brewery, just a “snazzy” marketing name like The K Korner in the old McFadden’s on the opposite end of Seaver They will have exclusive food offerings, and I’d imagine a bunch of the craft beers listed on the attached, I presume mostly the Montauks, available on the tap lines. Also according to all the foodie postings, its where you sign up for Citi’s version of the 9 dogs and 9 beers in 9 innings challenge. Like K Korner, probably safe to assume this is a team controlling gap measure until the major building projects (soccer stadium and its surrounding elements, as well as same with the casino) give the area enough of a business boom where they can allow stable, and competent third parties back into those spaces. whippoorwill 1
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 20 Posted March 20 cool? maybe? you have a link/article or something to this? (that list is pathetic btw) The two* previous breweries there could've done fine probably if they weren't run by idiots. stevejrogers 1

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Metsmerized doesn't count imo. Looks like it's just some text in the press notes: Which probably means it's still mostly useless, not connected to the stadium, and what a nuked version of the 9-9-9 meme, lol. 36oz of Coors Light wouldn't even get me drunk in 1 inning, 9 mini dogs is gonna be what, 6 normal hot dogs? A little excessive but not terribly so. stevejrogers 1
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted March 26 Author Posted March 26 Apparently this is open, so they can keep the old McFadden’s space closed to the public again. Smaller area, and a brewery taproom with a kitchen, so I guess a cheaper space to operate.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 27 Posted March 27 It's essentially the same space. And some/many of the beers on the list you posted are only available there as far as I could tell. Couldn't find Maine Lunch inside in particular, nor some of those Montauks I don't think, but maybe they are seasonal/showing up later. I also couldn't find an actual beer list besides just reading the taps.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Someday a retired Met is going to put his name on one of these craft beers and make a cool mint. Frank Seminara Boardwalk Ale or somelike.
