The Mets have acquired pitcher Pierson Ohl off waivers from the Colorado Rockies. He made his big league debut in 2025 with the Twins, going 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA in 14 games (3 starts) for the Twins. He didn't pitch at all in 2026, spending the whole season on the IL. Pretty promising is his minor league line: He owns a 3.61 ERA and 1.132 WHIP over 5 seasons, mostly as a starter. In 2025, his minor league line was 5-3 with a 2.40 mark in 24 games (6 starts). He's not a terrible gamble.
