Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 27 Posted August 27 This website is getting a little long in the tooth. The basic design dates back to 2021, when our only site was Twins Daily. Since that redesign, we've added nine (!!!!) sites and crammed in more new features than we can count. It's time for a ground-up rethink of everything about this website, and we need your help to do it right. A lot has changed over the past half-decade, especially for independent publishers like us: social media has throttled our reach to near-zero, Google is replacing search results with AI summaries, and economic uncertainties continue to loom over us all. As a result, we're focusing inward and doubling down on community. We offer more interactivity than ever before; we want to offer the best comments, forums, and user blogs you'll find anywhere. Features like the You're The GM! offseason tool will gain more prominence, and new features are coming that expand upon that idea. At the center of everything we do is you, the user. We only know how we use the website; your experience could differ in very important ways. That's why it's important to let us know how you use the site and how we can do things better. We can't improve without input, and yours is vital to the next generation of DiamondCentric sites. As always, thank you for being such an important part of our community! whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted August 28 Posted August 28 A back arrow instead of having to scroll all the way up to get out of a thread would be nice. Is that the kind of thing you mean? metirish 1

Is that the kind of thing you mean? That's actually something we've thought about, but so many devices offer that natively (all phones, most touchpads, and many touch-enabled mice). But it's something I will keep in mind, for sure. whippoorwill 1
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I responded to the survey, but the thing that really is missing is the ability to delete a post under the edit function (if nobody has responded to it). Sometimes you realize it wasn't appropriate or a duplicate(cross posting) Later whippoorwill 1

The swipe doesn't work there yet, but will with this redesign.
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I just googled it and got the swipe from left to right hint; I will try that! Brock Beauchamp 1
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Mets sites the Rising Apple and Mets Mesmerized got blended into the Fansided's and Bleacher Reports of the world If it were me I would look through Arena groups brands for example and look into 247 sports etc for a more visible opportunity You can do it
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted August 31 Posted August 31 I thought of something else! One of our old forums displayed what the last answered thread was under the forum title. For example: Non Baseball Forum Last post: Wordle Sonething like that
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted August 31 Posted August 31 An in-thread search option. whippoorwill 1

Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Yes. It's common elsewhere. The ability to search within a specific thread.

Ah, I had inadvertently disabled that feature when I originally designed this layout. I will make a note to put it back in during the redesign.
