Day game after a night game with a lefty on the mound.  That means everybody who didn't start yesterday, starts today.

Oh, wait.  Sorry, Christian Pache, not you.

Erick Fedde will be the primary thrower for the White Sox

Luis Robert Jr met my call for revenge yesterday and I hope he can do it again

Do you want to tell him that there's only three Ms in MarsmallowMilkshake or should I?

Met bats rattle the Sox' opener ... but they didn't nuke 'im.

There are four, it's just that one of them is upside-down.

Also, Lindor's rip to right just tore a hole in the wall.

The Mets strategy of load-'em-up-and-go-after-Benintendi may not be sustainable, but it's working for now.

Ron speaking about Jim Crow Laws and The Great Migration.

Not the sort of frank talk that you tend to hear on a broadcast.

And as he does it, Luis Robert pulls one off the top of the fence.

And then Ron endorses The Warmth of Other Suns.

This is a bit of a snore fest! The game, not the thread....

It's possible that all three called strikes to Alvarez were actually not in the zone, but then again, all three of them might have been.

The guy can paint.

Yeah, that 3-0 hack by Lindor was both stupid and lame. He's slumping as much as Alvarez and Ewing lately (although probably not for as long).

In addition to over-citing RiSP stats, our announcers are over-doing the 'Mets offense has been great lately' idea. It's been great compared to where it had been all season, but has been merely somewhat above average for the month of August [90 RS in 19 games (not including this one) for a 4.7 RS/G avg]. So good, though hardly en Fuego.

With the red-hot Bichette on deck.

(And red-hot Bichette grounds out meekly on one pitch.)
