And, y'see, we don't just mis-play pop-ups, that would be too pedestrian. We wait until there are two outs and the bases loaded to mis-play our pop-ups. Then we need to make sure the ball bounces away from either player so that the runner from 1st, the one who was just jogging until the comedy routine started, can come all the way around to score on a play that wasn't even close.
