Mets try to unfuck their September. I am trying to be optimistic but they're not helping. David Peterson versus Jesus H. Luzardo, 7:15 PM first pitch. I will be at a Syracuse Mets game, our last one of the season that we plan to attend.

Whatever happens this season, I think I've seen enough to say Mendoza is not the right guy to lead the Mets in 2026.

The FOX'ing of this game makes it a 7:15 first pitch as opposed to the trio of 6:45 starts so far in the series.

It also makes for longer commercial time so expect this game to finish close to an hour later than the others.

And all this on a day where I have to get going early tomorrow AM

And if you're going to start Acuna, the least you could do is bat him 9th. So in the off chance he actually reaches, he can steal a base and score on a Lindor hit.



By batting Senger 9th, you put him behind the one guy in the lineup that doesn't need to be bunted over.

Disturbing trends continue even if no runs allowed (yet): two innings, two leadoff batters on

4-0 is a great start, but they need to plate a few more

After starting: 1B - 1B - Double Steal - K - RBI 1B - RBI 1B - 2 RBI 2B ... the net ten batters have gone down in order (and produced 11 outs).

And now 13 in a row, the last three after the lead was halved.

No way this comes back to bite us. Just like it didn't bite us last night.
