ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Oh, it's just those silly amazin Mets making him look goodGKR talking about how good Manaea looks now The horse is out of the barn guys
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Since the Vientos double Monday night setting up the tying and go-ahead runs, the Mets have K'd 11 times in 15 trips to the plate.WE HAVE A HIT!! WE HAVE A HIT!! (it may be our last one for a while, but) WE HAVE A HIT!!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 WE HAVE A MEANINGLESS HIT!!
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Author Posted September 9, 2025 I had a Philosophy Professor in College who told us, "From the time you are conceived in your mother's womb, you are nothing more than a decaying hunk of meat. It's just a matter of time."I think that describes Marte perfectly.Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Marte has an OPS this season 15% above league average and has been even better since the ASG.But, hey, you apply your own standards.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Complete failure as a team.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Suarez continues to carve up the Mets line up. Through 6 innings, he has a career high of 12 strike outs. He is proof positive that you don't have to throw 95+ to get hitters out. He is mixing pitches and hitting his spots.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Mets get on the board with a Vientos HR.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 It's like they don't even care.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Staring at a 3-2 fastball over the plate. These guys are back to being pussies.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 I'm not confident about this matchup.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 You just knew it was going to happen.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Wow. That was a cookie, and Schwarber bit down.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 I hope Vientos Really feels like shit right about now.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 All runz tonight with two out.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 It is a blast to the past seeing Siri out there.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 2025 has two 50-home run guys, Cal Raleigh and now Schwarber. Last year had Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani. 2017 had Giancarlo Stanton and Judge. The last time there were THREE 50 home run guys was 2001, with Bonds, Sosa, McGwire and Luis Gonzalez. That feat is almost about to be repeated, as Ohtani is two HR away from 50. Eugenio Suarez could get there, too, as he has 45 dingers.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Siri now has more hits on this road trip than Cedric Mullins!
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 It's crazy that, despite his horrid struggles earlier this year, Vientos is now on the verge of another 20-homer season. Also, let's see some redemption.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 What a fine mess the Mets have gotten themselves in
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Gar, that was a tremendous recovery he made?It's a double
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Mets announcers are going full homer
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Hagenman sounds like one of those guys whose name should have the more authentic double-N Germanic ending.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Hagenman sounds like one of those guys who should be on the Phillies. How about that stolen base? Not exactly a feel-good moment there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 Alonso is the tying run. Vientos the go-ahead.
