Senga is becoming very frustrating to watch. He starts almost every batter with a 2-0 count; he didn't even get his second out (the Sac Fly) until pitch #21, and finally finished the inning with #24. And if it were only 1st innings it would be one thing but the subsequent frames just seem to continue the pattern.

That's the Sproat with the 4.24 ERA in the minors, right?

The point isn't to get minor leaguers up here in place of the likes of Senga & Peterson it's to get them here to supplement those guys.

I would give Sproat a shot for Holmes. Holmes goes high leverage bullpen and Helsley whatever

Sproat has been lights out of late

Senga is not the pitcher he was last year

Kodai Senga appeared in one regular season game last year.

I'm not trying to crap on our starters too much or become apoplectic

Mets are not in great WC3 standing and maybe thinking out the box might help

Sitting any combination of Manaea Senga and Holmes and using Megill or Sproat instead or both could be the tonic to get to at least the 5th ,6th or lord forbid the 7th in a more competitive position

It's a crazy idea but tomorrow is 9/1

Sandy's not been great this year but has put it together as of late.

Senga can totally pitch again this season.

1. Maybe he's hurt. Send him to the IL if possible.

2. Send him to the bullpen otherwise. I'm sure there's a way for him to be valuable to the team but he can't be starting more games right now.

Of course. Also a good idea not to make a commitment for the rest of the year if you do not have to.

Of course.

Meanwhile, the O is exiting of August the way they came in.
