Rookie OF Jakob Marsee seems to be the real deal

Yeah, Marsee is one of those guys they've added during the ongoing season.

A L/L CF with just 102 PAs so far, but a .356/.422 BA/OBA thus far with 17 of his 32 hits going for XBs

Not a bad start for a 6th round draft pick out of the baseball powerhouse that is Central Michigan U in 2022

As far as I'm concerned Brandon Sproat can have Holmes next turn. Clay can go to the bullpen

Half of the Marlins 16 PAs resulted in contact where the ball didn't leave the IF. Only four were turned into outs, and two of the ones that were moved runners up.

According to the Miami broadcasters, it was in the air for over 6 seconds hang time, hit at a 36 degree angle. WAY up there.

If you're going to lead off the inning by allowing a walk on a full count, just plunk the guy with the first pitch instead and save the wear and tear and time.

So that's two grounders to McNeil, two grounders to Pete, one to Lindor, one to Holmes (and I may be missing one or two) that resulted in a total of zero outs.

Still plenty of swings to take. I cannot vouch for the Marlins pen apart from that Lake Bachar dude.
