I don't know if Taylor was much of an upgrade. But could have kept you out of the double play.

Actually. The move is to bring in Mauricio for Nimmo. Slide McNeil to LF, Baty to 2B.



That way you keep Marte available on the bench.

Mauricio for Nimmo certainly was an option I was thinking of going for.



It is hard to anticipate how the game would come down to a perfect Marte situation, but, it is probably the way I would have gone. Maurcio hasn't been to the plate in a few days, and needs his ups.

And as far as roster construction, you're going to have to rethink carrying Taylor. With no Alvarez, pinch hitting for the catcher late in the game is going to be a nightly occurrence.
