Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2025 Posted May 20, 2025 How close is this to being a series? Visiting that link, it looks like there's a screenplay, but no production deal. If so, that's a very significant next step that needs to be taken.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2025 Posted May 20, 2025 I'm no expert, but not sure I've ever heard things put quite this way...[bLOCKQUOTE]Five years later, scheming for the riches of only one team per city, baseball owners collude to cripple the Mets franchise by fixing the draft and ensuring the Mets get only horrendous players at outrageous prices. In just their first season, the Mets appear doomed.[/bLOCKQUOTE]

Who would play Casey?Kristi "Clayface" Noem, naturally. She could be anybody with the proper makeup. And filler. And Botox. In my favorite scene, Noem holds court over the press, speaking in Stengelese while strategically standing over a locker room floor vent that's blowing air conditioning up at her, causing the bottom of her Marilyn Monroe-style white sundress to billow out just like in the Seven Year Itch. After that, Noem disappears Elio' Chacon to an El Salvadoran gulag when she finds out that Chacon speaks Spanish and has no "pasaje".
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 My shortlist for Casey portrayers includes:Armin ShimmermanSean PennWillem DefoeBilly Crystal, who already kind of played him in The Princess BrideDustin Hoffman.
