Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 10, 2025 Posted May 10, 2025 Always nice to see Baty and Vientos in the same lineup.Hopefully, the Cubs will soon have gotten the message that they have been playing better than they are.

[TH][/TH][TH][FIMG=250]https://www.mlbstatic.com/team-logos/112.svg[/FIMG][/TH][TH][/TH][TH][/TH][TH][FIMG=100]https://www.amny.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Ed-Kranepool-Patch.png?resize=50[/FIMG][FIMG=250]https://cdn.freebiesupply.com/images/large/2x/new-york-mets-logo-transparent.png[/FIMG][/TH][TH][/TH]

[TH]#[/TH][TH]Player[/TH][TH]Pos.[/TH][TH]#[/TH][TH]Player[/TH][TH]Pos.[/TH]

=#CC3433]1=#0E3386]Pete Crow-Armstrong (L)=#CC3433]cf=#FF5910]1=#002D72]Francisco Lindor (S)=#FF5910]ss

=#CC3433]2=#0E3386]Kyle Tucker (L)=#CC3433]rf=#FF5910]2=#002D72]Juan Soto (L)=#FF5910]rf

=#CC3433]3=#0E3386]Seiya Suzuki (R)=#CC3433]lf=#FF5910]3=#002D72]Pete Alonso (R)=#FF5910]1b

=#CC3433]4=#0E3386]Michael Busch (L)=#CC3433]1b=#FF5910]4=#002D72]Brandon Nimmo (L)=#FF5910]lf

=#CC3433]5=#0E3386]Justin Turner (R)=#CC3433]dh=#FF5910]5=#002D72]Mark Vientos (R)=#FF5910]dh

=#CC3433]6=#0E3386]Nico Hoerner (R)=#CC3433]2b=#FF5910]6=#002D72]Luisangel Acuña (R)=#FF5910]2b

=#CC3433]7=#0E3386]Dansby Swanson (R)=#CC3433]ss=#FF5910]7=#002D72]Brett Baty (L)=#FF5910]3b

=#CC3433]8=#0E3386]Miguel Amaya (R)=#CC3433]cf=#FF5910]8=#002D72]Francisco Álvarez (R)=#FF5910]c

=#CC3433]9=#0E3386]Jon Berti (R)=#CC3433]3b=#FF5910]9=#002D72]Tyrone Taylor (R)=#FF5910]cf

[TH][/TH][TH][/TH][TH][/TH][TH][/TH][TH][/TH][TH][/TH]

=#CC3433]=#0E3386]Brad Keller (R)=#CC3433]sp=#FF5910]=#002D72]Tylor Megill (R)=#FF5910]sp

roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2025 Posted May 10, 2025 I admire the way Mendoza keeps the top of the order stable, same 1-2-3 every day. Wish he'd do that with some of his other regulars. Makes a lot of sense to me, tells players where they bat, where they play in the field, instead of having them wonder every day "I wonder where I'll be batting today, and what significance that has." It has no significance, basically, so it's just an unnecessary source of anxiety, and a distraction, I think.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2025 Posted May 10, 2025 The only team that should be allowed to wear purple is the Vikings Beyond that it's the color of mourning
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2025 Posted May 10, 2025 Well, he didn't give up a gopher ball.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2025 Posted May 10, 2025 2-0 could have been much worseTime for a Mets monster mash
