Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 The Mets have made their semi-regular signing of a guy with no MLB experience to an MLB contract, inking Voorhees Township, NJ native Justin Hagenman to a sweetiepie deal.Righthander Justin functioned as a starter for Woosta last season producing an unremarkable 4.91 ERA. The Mets (and presumably a half dozen other team), must have picked up something from the statcast metrics they can work with, however, as big-league contracts are out of the ordinary for 28-year-olds rocking a 4.91 ERA in the International League, who have yet to throw an MLB pitch.Justin had been mostly a reliever throughout his pro career until 2023, so it's unclear how the Mets plan to deploy him — possibly unclear even to the Mets. Jussie spent most of his career in the Dodger system before going to Boston in the trade that returned Kiké Hernandez to Los Angeles.https://soxprospects.com/players/big/hagenman-justin.jpg>

Dozier and David Aardsma as the only Nittany Lions to play for the Metropolitans, unless you count Monte Ward back in the 1880s. Luv ya Lions!
