Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 It's impressive how few of those calls treated the ball as looking like a homer off the bat. Most of the announcers treat it like a likely out right up until the time Taylor jumps on the wall. Keith seemed far more convinced that it was going than Gary did.

It feels like stolen valor when someone thanks me for my time and effort. But it's appreciated nonetheless.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 In another lifetime, somebody shared some research that concluded that Ron Hodges had the biggest regular season hit — in fact, the biggest regular-season play, offensively or defensively — in Mets history, in terms of advancing the team's pennant chances.Does Lindor's ninth-inning homer in this game surpass that, or does the expanded playoff field almost make it impossible to surpass?
